Details:

  •  This Resilience and Leadership Cohort is a twelve-month program that requires no coursework. It is specifically designed for busy WELS school called workers.
  • This 12-month program emphasizes personal resilience through spiritual, emotional, and physical health. It includes 90-minute monthly group sessions via Zoom covering important content such as habit formation, ownership, productivity, school culture, hospitality, and having tough conversations. It also includes monthly personal coaching sessions that are designed to help you thrive personally and professionally.
  • Benefits of the program include a personal resilience plan, development of a personal mission/vision/values statement, support in personal and ministry goals, identification of keystone habits, improved relationship skills, increased productivity, and 15 hours of CEUs.
  • The cost is just $2000 for the full year of coaching. We encourage the use of Continuing Education funds, Title II funds, or WELS District funds.

GIA will help 3K-12 teachers, school administrators, and congregational lay leaders optimize their leadership skills in order to better serve God and others. Topics include:

  • Spiritual/Emotional/Physical Resilience- This is the foundation for our program. The “three-legged” stool (spiritual/emotional/physical wellness) is critical for effective ministry and personal well-being.
  • Healthy Relationships- God created us as relational beings. Unfortunately, sin disrupts relationships in the classroom, with faculty, and at home. In this discussion, we will gain an understanding of unhealthy relationship triggers and explore ways to build vibrant relationships that bring glory to God and influence your family and ministry team.
  • Power of Habits- Goal-setting is great, but habits are essential for real growth and change. In this discussion, we will explore the formation of habits and how small changes can lead to a healthier lifestyle and ministry.
  • Reflection- Research demonstrates that effective individuals take time to reflect. In this discussion, we will learn what reflection is and how to find time to implement it. Regular reflection will lead to better emotional health, clarity, and creativity while finding increased strength in Christ.
  • Ownership- As sinful human beings, we tend to make excuses and blame others for our ineffectiveness. This aged-old lie has its roots in the Garden of Eden and manifests itself in many ways. In this discussion, we will explore the value of ownership and its critical importance to family and ministry effectiveness.
  • Productivity- God’s gift of time is a blessing. However, it feels like time is demonized in the ministry setting. There is never enough time for teaching, administration, and family life. This leads to stress which triggers unhealthy habits such as withdrawal, anxiety, depression, and self-medication. In this module, we will explore tools to manage God’s gift of time and reduce stress.
